Weathervanes were one of the first instruments used to detect changes in the weather by pointing in the direction the wind was blowing. One of the earliest weathervane archaeological examples if from 48 BC.

All of our weathervanes are made in the USA. There are over 100 different styles. The finishes include black, verdigris, rust, polished copper, gold-bronze or hand-painted depending on which ornament is chosen.
